  • MMVIII

Hopefully, everyone had a restful break. For those who have yet to start school, enjoy it while it lasts.

It's been a great year. Full of ups and downs. It's been really crazy. Weekend meets to Junior Prom to Europe to Senior Year, it's been one heck of a year.

So, as many people do, let's look at some New Year's Resolutions.

    New Year Resolutions from 2007:
    1. Higher than current GPA
    2. Eagle Project
    3. Get license
    4. play more soccer
    5. get out more
    6. do well on SAT
    7. score well on AP
    8. increase track record
My evaluation? Let's go through it. Higher GPA? probably not. Eagle Project? done. I got my license and more incidents driving than I thought I would have in my first three years of driving. Technically played more soccer. Got out more? I dunno about that one. SAT? what a joke. AP? a 4 on APUSH, not bad. Track? PR'ed so I would count that.

Total that would be 5/8 done. A majority, so that's pretty good.

And just because I don't wanna go to sleep, I'll draw up new resolutions and then ignore them. Done in the style of god brother Chris Shinn, because it makes it seem more organized.

    I. Academics
    • Finish the fall semester with 3.33 unweighted or higher and finish spring with 3.5 or higher
    • No C's especially in Chan
    • Get into a good college
    • Pass all my AP Exams with at least a 4
    • Keep Senioritis to a minimum, you know as much as it is now.
    II. Athletics
    • Get out on Sundays and play with dad at least five times
    • Achieve 20'6" in Long Jump and 37' at least in Triple Jump
    • sub 12 sec. on my 100 in correlation with jumping
    • Sub 60 sec. on my 400
    III. All Else
    • Sleep more, nap less in correlation with higher grades
    • Get out of the house more on weekends
    • Cut back on the internet, especially since I don't do anything on it anyway.
    • Hang out with more Track people, old, new, and current
    • Keep in touch with people I like after graduation
    • Watch the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics with friends
Hopefully I keep 80% of them. Goodbye 2007, you've been great! Onwards to a New Year.
